The Southern Nevada Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is proud to announce the availability of grant funds for the 2010 grant cycle. The Request for Applications (RFA) and required forms are now available and should be reviewed carefully. Applicants for funding must be non-profit, government or educational institutions.
The next grant cycle runs from April 1, 2010 to March 31, 2011. Eligible applications must be received by December 21, 2009. Please view the Grants Calendar for other important dates.
If your agency is interested in submitting a grant proposal, it will be helpful to review the presentation from the recent 2009 Komen Grant Writing Workshop. An appointment with the Community Programs Manager may also be scheduled to address questions about the grants process by emailing education@komensouthernnevada.org.
Applications will be accepted for all breast health and breast cancer projects in Southern Nevada. However, projects that specifically address the funding priorities listed in the RFA will be given priority. Mid-Cycle Grants
Education grants, conference grants, and travel scholarship grants are available year-round to nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, and educational institutions in Clark, Nye, Lincoln, and Esmeralda Counties. These grants typically range from $1,000 up to $10,000 and must meet the mid-cycle grant criteria. Please review the mid-cycle grant application carefully. All applications for mid-cycle grants will be reviewed by the grants committee and presented to the Board of Directors. Please allow up to 8 weeks for funding status notification.
