Worship in Pink Weekend

The Southern Nevada Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is hosting Worship in Pink weekend Friday October 21 through Sunday October 23. During Worship in Pink weekend, religious organizations will have the opportunity to celebrate survivors as well as honor the memory of loved ones who have lost their battle.

Komen Southern Nevada will provide breast health information to each participating religious organization. This information will include a suggested script about breast cancer and breast health, information about the impact of breast cancer on various demographic groups and a listing of local breast health resources. Organizations are encouraged to make the day or weekend a celebration of survivors and co-survivors. Some organizations host a special luncheon for survivors, encourage the congregation to wear pink or invite survivors to speak about their experiences.
